Why can't you get your own apps in order?
Gdrive released today for iOS, uses authenticator. For sh!ts and giggles I also installed Chrome for iOS, also released today. Chrome still uses those horrible application passwords, please not for my mobile device - its too easy to get lost/stolen etc.
Perhaps Google doesn't know what direction it is taking. Personally rolling keys so long as the back end algorithm is under lock and key (Thanks for highlighting this RSA) wins hands down for convenience and security. I don't care if I have to input my rolling key every 30 days.
By the way Apple, given the amount of criticism you have faced over iTunes accounts being stolen, where is your 2-factor "iKey"??
